Why Should I Outsource a Virtual Assistant?

Here are a few reasons why virtual assistants are helping to power startup growth:

Many startups find themselves in a position where they have limited time, money and people power to get they ideas off the ground which can mean the success or failure of a new business.

Virtual assistants are surprisingly cost efficient and can deal with the important parts of your business that you just dont have the time for.

Unanswered emails, missed appointments, hasty purchase for supplies and software, even setting up the accounts or company CRM can cause extra hours of work and stress because you can't focus on the things you need to to to grow your business. You will also need to take a day off! Your VA can take over and make sure things are running smoothly so you CAN turn your phone off and spend quality time with your family or friends . . . . . after all, thats why you wanted to start the business in the first place?

First, the most important one – how much will a new full-time employee cost you to hire? How much time will you need to spend with onboarding and training? For startups, the budget is often stretched when it comes to staffing and a VA can end up doing the same work for much less cost outlay.

Second, look at the possible productivity gains that a VA can bring to your business. We’ve outlined some above, but there are plenty of other examples we could get into. VAs allow you to focus on core business functions, enhance your service quality, and solve any capability issues. Of course, an internal hire can help you in these areas too, but then you’ll be dealing with the whole HR side, including benefits and legal requirements for employment like paid holiday and sickness.

Third, there’s no reason why a VA can’t become a fixture on your team anyway. Companies are often concerned with keeping employees for the long-term and worry that hiring a VA inherently means they’ll be temporary and that they’ll end up having to onboard someone else (using more resources). There are many VAs who have worked for the same client for years, happy to have a secure position. They become integral team members and strategic partners.
